Emet Boric Acid Plant Expansion
2nd 100,000-Ton Boric Acid Factory Project

Project Overview
As part of the Emet Boric Acid Plant Expansion, Emit was responsible for the electrical, instrumentation, and automation scope for the second 100,000-ton capacity boric acid factory. This was a large-scale project requiring the implementation of a complete power and control infrastructure from the ground up.
Scope of Work & Key Deliverables
Our comprehensive scope included:
- MV/LV Infrastructure: Installation of 6 transformer substations (two 2500 kVA and four 1000 kVA), along with all MV and LV cabling.
- Backup Power: Installation of an 800 kVA generator system.
- MCC Panels: Manufacturing and installation of 6 draw-out type Motor Control Center panels.
- LV Systems: Complete installation of Low Voltage power and lighting systems.
- Automation & Control: A 2,000 I/O Distributed Control System (DCS) was supplied and installed, including all engineering services, plus SCADA and PLC automation.
- Instrumentation: Supply and installation of a wide array of industrial instruments, such as electromagnetic flowmeters, radar level transmitters, vibration-type level switches, and various pressure and temperature gauges.
- Safety Systems: A complete Fire Alarm System installation.
