Kırka Penta-5 Boron Facility

Project Overview

For the landmark Penta-5 Boron Facility, a plant with a 500,000-ton annual capacity, Emit was entrusted with the comprehensive design, supply, and implementation of the entire electrical, instrumentation, and automation infrastructure. This was a full-scale, turnkey project requiring meticulous engineering and project management to bring one of Turkey's most significant industrial assets online.

Scope of Work & Key Deliverables

Our team provided end-to-end solutions, including:

• Electrical Infrastructure: Design and installation of 6 transformer centers (4x 3150 kVA, 2x 1600 kVA), MV/LV cabling, and manufacturing of all ADP and MCC panels.
• Power Systems: Installation of Busbar systems (1600A - 5000A) and over 300 frequency converters with full parameter setting and system integration.
• Automation & Control: A sophisticated 10,000 I/O ABB 800xA Distributed Control System (DCS) was supplied, programmed, and commissioned, including full ERP integration for efficiency analysis and cost management.
• Advanced Monitoring: Development of a control system for over 700 pieces of equipment, including advanced alarm management, KPI dashboards, and remote online monitoring capabilities.
• Instrumentation: Supply, installation, and calibration of a full suite of industrial instruments, including electromagnetic flowmeters, level transmitters, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors.
• Electronic Systems: Installation of a 105-camera CCTV system and a plant-wide fire detection system, both fully integrated into the central DCS and a large-scale video wall display in the control room.
